Fill each muffin liner with batter. They should be 3/4 full.Top each cake with 1 1/2 tsp Nutella. Swirl Nutella in with a toothpick, making sure to fold a bit of batter up over the nutella.
Bake for 20 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
You can just eat them like this, they are really more like a muffin... or swirl a dallop of this frosting on them:
Philly Cream Cheese Nutella Frosting
8 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese at room temperature
2 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
1/4 cup powdered sugar
about 2 oz Nutella
In a bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and whisk for a few seconds until blended. Add the Nutella and mixed completely.
