On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Chocolate Chip Oat Banana Bars

1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup toasted finely chopped almonds
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter-softened
2 medium bananas-quartered, legthwise and sliced (1-1/2 cups)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

In medium bowl, combine flour, oats, almonds, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl beat the brown sugar and butter with electric mixer on medium until light and fluffy. Beat flour mixture into butter mixture until well combined. Press half of the oat mixture into bottom of ungreased 8x8 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until crust is browned. Remove from oven and top with the sliced bananas and chocolate chips. Top with remaining oat mixture, lightly packing mixture down, then return to oven for 25 minutes or until brown. Cool in pan. Store leftovers in fridge.
