On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Rhubarb Strawberry Roll

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
1 c. halved strawberries
2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine 1 cup sugar with water and boil. Pour into 9"x13" pan. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and 1 tablespoon of the sugar. Work butter into dry ingredients. Stir in milk and knead for 1 minute. Roll in rectangle, spread the fruit over dough. Mix remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over fruit. Pat down and roll up like jelly roll. Cut and place cut side up in syrup. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Serve with cream or ice cream.
