On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Cheesecake Bars

5 Tbls butter or margrine-softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbls milk
1 Tbls lemon juice
1/2 tsp vanilla

In mixing bowl cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and nuts. Set aside one cup of this mixture. Press remaining mixture into bottom of ungreased 8x8x2 inch baking pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar. Add the egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla; beat well. Pour over baked layer. Sprinkle reserved flour mixture over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Store covered in refridgerator.
