1/4 tsp peppermint extract
8 oz frozen whipped topping-thawed
6 candy canes
1-1/2 cups milk
3 drops red food coloring
6 chocolate sandwhich cookies
Mix pudding and milk as directed on box, using electric mixer. Add extract and food coloring to the pudding using electric mixer. Fold in whipped topping with a wooden spoon. Place cookies and candy canes in a gallon size plastic zip bag and roll over them with a rolling pin carefully until they crumbly enough to sprinkle (shake the bag to combine). Make layers of first the cookie/candy crumbles, then the pudding in tall parfait glasses (or drinking glasses will work too).
