On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Spicy Fruited Carrot Cake

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 (30 0z) fruit cocktail-drained
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs-slightly beaten
2 cups shredded carrots
1 cup chpped pecans
Nutty Cream Cheese frosting (listed on this blog)

Combine flour, sugar, salt, soda, cloves and allspice; stir in fruit cocktail. Add oil, eggs, carrots and pecans; stir gently until mixed well. Pour into a greased and floured 13X9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min. or till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan completely. Spread top with nutty cream cheese frosting.
