Warm Cinnamon Rice Pudding

3 cups cooked medium grain rice
3 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp vanilla
ground cinnamon (opt)
whipped cream (opt)

Combine rice, milk, sugar, butter and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan; cook over medium heat until thick and creamy (about 20-25 min), stirring often. Remove from heat; remove cinnamon sticks and serve sprinkled with cinnamon and a dab of whipped cream.
