On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Venison Stew

2 Tbls cooking oil
2 lbs venison stew meat-cut in chunks
3 lrg onions-coarsley chopped
2 garlic cloves-crushed
1-2 Tbls worcesteshire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 tsp oregano
1 Tbls salt
1 tsp pepper
3 cups water
7 potatoes-peeled and quartered
1 lb carrots-cut into 1 inch pieces
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cold water
Bottled browning sauce (opt)

Heat oil in large pan, brown meat. Add onions, garlic, worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Add potatoes and carrots. Continue to cook until veggies are tender; about 40 min.. Mix flour and water; stir into stew. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add browing sauce if desired. Remove bay leaf.
