On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Hamburger Chilaquiles (chee-KEE-lays)

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion-chopped
1 pkg. (1-1/4 oz) taco seasoning
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes with liquid-cut up
1/2 pkg. (12 oz) tortilla chips
4 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In skillet, brown ground beef and onion till meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in taco seasoning, chilies and tomatoes. Simmer uncovered for 15 min. Place half the tortilla chips in a 13x9 inch baking dish. Layer half the meat mixture and half the monterey jack cheese over the tortilla chips. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Remove from oven. Top with dallops of sour cream. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake another 10 min or until heated through.
