On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Lasagna in a bun

6  hoagie buns
1 lb. hamburger
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. dried basil mixed with 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 egg-beaten
3/4 cup cottage cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cut a thin slice off the top of the rolls and set the tops aside. Hollow out center of the rolls. In skillet, cook the meat and drain. Add tomato sauce, soup and herbs. Cook covered on low heat for 5 minutes. Uncover and cook for 5 additional minutes. In a bowl, combine egg, cottage cheese and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Divide half meat mixture into the bottom of the rolls, top with cheese mixture, then remaining meat. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Replace bun tops, wrap sandwich individually with foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
