Open Face Meatball Sandwiches

1/4 cup egg substitute
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves-minced
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp oregeno
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp pepper
dash of salt
1-1/4 lbs lean ground beef
2 cups pasta sauce
4 hoagie buns-split
2 Tbls shredded part skim mozzarella cheese

In large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 25-30 meatballs about 1 inch in size. In large skillet brown meatballs in batches (may use cooking spray on pan if needed)
Place meatballs in large saucepan, add the pasta sauce; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until meat is no longer pink. Spoon meatballs and sauce onto bun halves and sprinkle with cheese.
