On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Like Lees's Chicken~Lee's Chicken, Lincoln, NE.

2 fryer chicken-cut and skinned
Seasoned Flour:
1-1/2 cup flour
1 Tbls garlic salt
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning 1-1/2 tsp pepper
1-1/2 tsp paprika
combine together in a medium bowl
Batter:
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 egg yolk-beaten
3/4 cup flat beer or water

Combine dry ingredients for batter, combine egg and beer, add to dry ingredients gradually. If the batter is too thick, add morw beer or water. Heat 2 inches of oil to 356 degrees in frying pn or deep fat fryer. Moisten chicken and dip first in seasoned flour, then batter, then flour again. Fry in hot oil for 15-18 minutes.
This is also good if you just use the seasoned flour.
