1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup finely chopped toasted almonds
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter-soft
2 medium bananas-quartered lengthwise and sliced (1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
In medium bowl combine the flour, oatmeal, almonds, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In large mixing bowl beat brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat flour mixture into butter mixture until combined. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of ungreased 8x8 baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or till crust turns golden brown. Remove from oven top with sliced bananas and chocolate chips.Lightly pack the remaining oat mixture over the bananas by pressing gently with the back of a large spoon or spatula. Bake about 25 minutes more or till top is lightly browned. Cool before cutting. Store bars covered in the fridge.
