1/4 cup butter or margarine-soft
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup apple butter
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbls milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins (opt)
In a mixing bowl, cream butter ans sugar. Beat in egg, oats, and apple butter. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture along with the milk; beat until blended. Stir in the nuts and raisins. Chill well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. Yield about 2-1/2 dozen
