1 bacon strip-halved
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 Tbls chopped green onion
1 Tbls chopped jalapeno pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup molasses
2 Tbls cider vinegar
2 Tbls lemon juice
1 Tbls soy sauce
1 Tbls worcestershire sauce
1 Tbls prepared mustard
1 Tbls minced fresh thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 to 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 to 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
In a saucaepan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Discard bacon, and in the drippings saute the onions and jajapeno until tender. Stir in the remaining ingredients; bring to boil. Remove from heat and cool. Yield: 2 cups
