On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Glazed Mint Brownies

2 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
Filling:
3 Tbls butter-softened
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbls milk
3/4 tsp peppermint extract
3-4 drops green food coloring (opt)
Glaze:
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 Tbls butter

In a heavy saucepan or in the microwave, melt chocolate and butter. Cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and flour. Stir in the chocolate mixture. Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. In a mixing bowl, combine the filling ingredients; beat until creamy. Spread over brownies. For glaze, mealt chocoloate chips and butter; stir until smooth. Spread over filling and refridgerate until filling and glaze are set.
