On this blog you will find easy recipes that don't require a lot of strange ingredients that nobody has on hand. Super Easy, Super Peach Cobbler

1/2 cup better-melted
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
1 can (29 oz.) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
2 Tbls. sugar
1/2 tsp/ ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour butter into 2 quart baking dish.
In large bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth.
Pour over melted butter. Drain peaches, reserving liquid. Arrange peaches over batter (do not stir). Pour reserved juice over peaches (do not stir).
In small bowl, combine remaining sugar, and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the peaches.
Bake about 45 minutes, or until lightly browned.


Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
